This is an exciting opportunity to lead a busy and digitally enabled Development Management team. You will lead on all aspects of the Development Management service taking applications through from pre-application discussions, applications and appeals; as well as planning enforcement work. East Renfrewshire is an attractive and prosperous area and you will contribute to maintaining high environmental standards and promoting sustainable development in the area. You should be well organised and able to manage a wide and challenging workload. You should be a good communicator who can engage positively with customers in a firm and fair manner, and have good personal and written skills. You will ensure continuous improvement and efficiency, provide a positive and flexible organisational culture and promote an innovative and collaborative way of working and a partnership approach to service delivery.

*Depending upon the needs of the service, staff in Hybrid roles will typically work from home for up to 40-60% of the time where the needs of the service can still be met.
