East Renfrewshire Council’s Housing Services are looking to recruit a motivated and suitably experienced individual to the position of Repairs Delivery Officer. This is a full-time role, working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based at Council Offices in Barrhead.
The postholder will assist the Housing Property Services and Repairs Team in the delivery of reactive, cyclical, void and planned maintenance works across occupied and unoccupied council housing, with a primary focus on mixed tenure properties and factored blocks. The role will support projects from pre-inspection through to post inspection and customer satisfaction, including close liaison with private owners affected by common works.
This will include raising and managing works orders, coordinating internal and external contractors, monitoring the standard and quality of works, processing and managing invoices and providing effective resident liaison throughout the lifecycle of each project.
*Hybrid employees are considered workplace based first, but they will have a level of flexibility to work from home up to 40% of their working week, if it is not to the detriment of their current tasks, team requirements or service needs.
