We have an exciting temporary opportunity to join our busy stores team as senior storekeeper, leading on providing an efficient and effective stock management service to our in-house housing repairs contractor. As part of this role, you will be responsible for day to day line management of the team, ensuring stock control and availability of supplies and tools, and working within existing financial, procurement and audit requirements for stores administration.

We need someone who is an experienced and qualified tradesperson, with extensive knowledge of trades materials and work in a housing environment and a valid fork lift operator’s certificate. Ideally the successful post holder will also have an HNC in Construction Management or equivalent. They will also come with previous stores management experience.

You must be able to work on your own initiative, be highly organised and guide the team to work within the necessary policy and procedures, including health and safety. Building strong relationships will be required to support effective management of the team, and to work well with stores’ customers. You must also be competent and confident in using MS Office applications and have demonstrable experience of using stores or repairs management software.
