As part of the Intensive Services team based in Bonnyton House, you will ensure the physical, social and emotional needs of the clients are met by providing high quality care and support to the residents. You will undertake a wide range of tasks and responsibilities in order to meet the needs of the residents. You will also act as a key worker for a named group of residents, ensuring all appropriate records are completed and maintained within the framework of care planning, key worker and review systems.

You must have experience of working with older people and have patience, sensitivity and an understanding of the needs of people with dementia. You will have excellent communications skills, be a good team worker and be able to use your initiative. You will also have a caring nature and be enthusiastic, reliable and flexible. Experience of working within a residential, nursing or day centre environment, particularly those associated with older people, would be an advantage.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. t is an offence therefore to apply if you are barred from working with children and protected adults. In addition to this, if you have lived or worked in any country outside the UK in the past 10 years, there may be a requirement for an overseas police check.

This post requires Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) registration. You must currently have registration or eligibility to apply from commencement of employment (you must apply to register within the first 3 months of employment to ensure registration is complete within 6 months of starting in your role).
