Are you committed to safeguarding adults at risk of harm and improving outcomes for vulnerable individuals within our communities?

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Council Officer/Social Worker with a minimum of 1 year's experience working with adults in a social work setting and a passion for safeguarding adults at risk of harm.

East Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Council Officer/Social Worker to join our dedicated Adult Support and Protection Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in protecting adults at risk and promoting their rights, safety, and wellbeing.

As a Council Officer within the Adult Support and Protection Team, you will contribute to the delivery of statutory duties under the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007. You will undertake Adult Support and Protection Inquiries and Investigations, gather and analyse information, assess and manage risk, contribute to protection planning, and work closely with partner agencies to ensure vulnerable adults receive appropriate support and protection.

The role involves undertaking duty responsibilities, responding to adult protection concerns, participating in multi-agency meetings, maintaining accurate and timely records, and supporting the development, implementation, and review of Adult Protection Plans. You will be expected to build effective professional relationships and work collaboratively with a wide range of health, social care, emergency service, care provider and third sector partners.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience of working with adults who are looking to develop their skills and experience within a specialist Adult Support and Protection Team and undertake the role of Council Officer.
