Our vision within East Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership is valuing what matters to children and their families. Over recent years, we have embarked on a journey of improvement by redesigning our services to ensure that the voices of children and young people are at the heart of what we do and at present we are reshaping our Inclusive Support Service. Our founding principle of all work is delivering better outcomes for children.

We are looking for an energetic, strategic thinking, creative Team Manager who has the right values, experience and leadership to work alongside our inclusive support service and wider HSCP team to help us redesign the way we support families and children with additional support needs.

You will support and manage staff to work directly with children and young people with a range of complex additional support needs. Inclusive Support Service are responsible for the facilitation of our activity programme through Spring, Summer and October school holidays. We also work collaboratively with partner agencies to deliver clubs during term time.

You will be responsible for the management, administration and development of the inclusive support service in line with standards/policies. You will also hold responsibility for ensuring that the services continue to meet the requirements as a registered service with the Care Inspectorate.

You will be involved in financial and other resource management, performance management, and service development and will be expected to promote targeted interventions for children, young people and their families within our integrated model of health and social care.

Applicants will hold a professional social work qualification and be able to demonstrate considerable social work experience, whilst previous supervisory experience, project planning and organisational, analytical and communication skills will be an advantage.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. It is an offence therefore to apply if you are barred from working with children and protected adults. In addition to this, if you have lived or worked in any country outside the UK in the past 10 years, there may be a requirement for an overseas police check.

This post requires Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) registration. You must currently have registration or eligibility to apply from commencement of employment (you must apply to register within the first 3 months of employment to ensure registration is complete within 6 months of starting in your role).
