Falkirk Council’s Adult Social Work Services are seeking to recruit a motivated and committed Social Worker to join our East Locality Assessment and Care Planning Team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our vision of enabling adults to live full and positive lives within supportive and inclusive communities.
As part of a supportive and forward-thinking service, you will undertake outcomes-focused assessments and reviews in partnership with service users and carers, including robust risk assessment. You will participate in team duty systems and rotas and work collaboratively with colleagues to develop innovative approaches that improve access to information, support and services for Falkirk citizens within their local communities.
Advanced Practitioner consideration
Applicants wishing to be considered for an Advanced Practitioner role will be required to evidence experience of chairing meetings and demonstrate a proven track record in supporting team practice development. This may include mentoring colleagues, facilitating student placements, leading groups or communities of practice, and showing a strong commitment to continuous professional learning and development.
Essential requirements
- Experience of working within a community social care or health setting
- Sound knowledge of Community Care legislation
Desirable attributes
- Experience of delivering a duty system
- Excellent risk management and interpersonal skills
- A strong commitment to multi-agency working
