Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership is seeking to recruit a highly motivated, experienced and enthusiastic Advanced Practitioner Social Worker to join our Prison Social Work Team at HMP & YOI Polmont.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of high-quality social work services to people in custody while supporting the continued development of excellent practice across the team.

As an Advanced Practitioner, you will carry a complex caseload, and demonstrate expertise in risk assessment and risk management, applying professional judgement to support positive outcomes for individuals while promoting wider public protection.

Alongside your case management responsibilities, you will provide professional leadership within the team, supporting practitioners to develop confidence, skills and knowledge. You will contribute to practice learning, quality improvement and service development, helping to ensure high standards of professional practice across Justice Social Work Services.

A Social Work Diploma or degree is essential, as is experience of statutory social work within Justice Services. Please refer to the Job Profile for further details.

If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership, the cost of which will be met by the preferred candidate.

You will also require SSSC registration. 

There is a requirement that the candidate will require clearance at Non-Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) Level 2.
