A fantastic opportunity has arisen for Mental Health Officers to join our Adults Service in Falkirk as an Advanced Practitioner. You will need to have experience in working with Adults (over 16) and knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance relating to Mental Health, Adult Support and Protection, AWI, Self-Directed Support and Carers, together with an ability to assess and manage risk. Due to service redesign, applications are welcomed from experienced registered Social Workers with a MHO Qualification who meet our Advanced Practitioner criteria:
- Minimum 3 years post qualifying experience, accompanied by
- MHO accreditation
- Evidence of additional learning and development*, and
- Management of Complex Cases
*commitment to undertake additional Post Graduate Qualification if required
This is based on a worker practicing at a higher level of competence derived from the accumulation of experience, level of expertise (academic and developmental) and the ability to confidently engage with situations that present greater risk and complexity. Supporting others to develop their knowledge and skills is also key to this role.
These posts are based in our Mental Health team. If selected for interview you will be asked to present evidence against the criteria that support your application.

This post is based within Woodlands Resource Centre, however you may be required to work from any other Falkirk Council premises.
