Join Our Facilities Team – Area Facilities Officer

Are you a motivated supervisor with experience in front-line facilities services? Do you take pride in delivering high standards and supporting teams to succeed? We’re looking for an Area Facilities Officer to join our Facilities (Soft FM) team, supporting services across a defined cluster of sites within the Falkirk Council estate.

This role will focus primarily on Janitorial and Logistics operations. However, you will be expected to support service delivery across the full Facilities function, including Catering and Cleaning, ensuring flexibility and continuity of service across teams.

What You’ll Do:

  • Supervise the day-to-day delivery of Janitorial and Logistics services across your designated area
  • Support delivery of Catering and Cleaning services where required to maintain consistent service standards
  • Ensure effective use of staff, equipment and materials to meet service expectations
  • Provide direct supervision to teams, promoting high morale, performance and professional standards
  • Work closely with Building Services Officers and clients to ensure service delivery meets requirements
  • Monitor performance and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
  • Process requisitions, timesheets and financial transactions in line with procedures
  • Promote and maintain high standards of Health and Safety compliance at all times
  • Support training and development of staff within your service area

What We’re Looking For:

  • SVQ Level 2 in Facilities or Cleaning (or equivalent experience)
  • Previous supervisory experience in a facilities or operational environment
  • Strong communication, organisational and people management skills
  • Experience working in a customer-facing environment
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and relevant procedures
  • Ability to work flexibly and support multiple service areas

The Role:

  • Location: Based at Community Stadium working across council
  • Hours: 37 hours per week
  • Days: Monday to Friday between hours of 7am and 8pm
  • Contract: Full Year, Permanent
  • Line Management: Facilities Chargehands (Cleaners or Janitors)
  • Reporting to: Building Services Officer
