Could you be our next BMD Administration Assistant within our Building Maintenance team?

In this role you will provide customer‑focused, efficient and effective front‑line and business support across the Building Maintenance Division. You will support a range of service areas including General Maintenance, Contracts, Gas, Electrical, Voids, Stores and Invoicing, making full use of computerised systems to manage enquiries, appointments, records and financial processes.

You will play a key role in supporting service delivery by coordinating administrative processes, assisting with performance information, and ensuring a high standard of customer service is maintained at all times.

What we are looking for…

The ideal candidate will have good organisational and customer care skills, attention to detail, and experience working in an office or administrative environment. You will be comfortable working with computerised systems, managing competing priorities, and communicating effectively with colleagues, customers and service users.

You will be able to work as part of a team, use your initiative, and handle information accurately and confidentially in line with established procedures and statutory requirements.

  • Experience of office or administrative work
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience using Microsoft Office packages
  • Ability to handle financial transactions such as invoices or cash processing
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Experience of working as part of a team

This is an operational role primarily based within our Inchyra depot. Home working may be supported for up to one day per week where operational and service needs allow. The remainder of the working week will be based at Council locations to support effective collaboration, customer service and service delivery.

You will work 37 hrs per week (08:00 – 16:30 Mon to Thurs, 08:00 – 16:00 Fri)
