The Role

This is an opportunity for a talented Building Standards professional to play a key role in the management and delivery of Falkirk Council’s Building Standards service.

We are looking for a talented individual that brings a strong sense of customer service, excellent communication and leadership skills, and an appetite for delivery of development and continuous improvement.

You must be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a wider team and have proven experience in delivering a quality Building Standards service. You will demonstrate your ability to plan, allocate and organise work to provide agreed service / standards and to manage a range of complex competing service and operational priorities.   

You are required to be flexible, innovative and reactive to public demands and pressures.

Job Requirements

Educated to HND/Degree Level or equivalent level in Building Standards or relevant discipline. You will also hold full Chartered Membership of a construction related professional institute such as MRICS, MCABE, MCIOB, MBENG or equivalent.


As the duties of this role require you to effectively travel to successfully undertake the full remit of the role, you must hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
