Job Advert
This is an exciting opportunity to join Falkirk Council's Corporate Performance and Planning Team, supporting services across the organisation to use data, performance information and evidence to drive improvement and transformation.
Working closely with senior managers, service leaders and colleagues across the Council, you will play a key role in helping services understand their performance, identify opportunities for improvement and deliver positive outcomes for communities.
You will lead and coordinate a range of improvement activities, using data, insight and performance information to support effective decision making, service planning and organisational change. The role will support services to develop meaningful performance reporting, undertake self-evaluation, monitor strategic priorities and implement improvement actions that contribute to better outcomes for residents.
A significant part of the role involves analysing and interpreting management information, producing reports and providing support to services on performance, risk, audit actions and improvement activity. You will work across council services to ensure that data and evidence are used effectively to inform priorities, monitor progress and support continuous improvement.
You will also contribute to corporate projects and transformation programmes, supporting the development of effective systems, processes and approaches that strengthen the Council's ability to deliver services efficiently and effectively. The role provides an opportunity to influence change across a wide range of service areas and help develop a culture of evidence based improvement throughout the organisation.
We are looking for someone with strong analytical, organisational and communication skills who can build positive working relationships and work confidently with a range of stakeholders. You will have experience of using data and management information to support planning, performance management, service improvement or transformation activities within a complex organisation.
You will hold a relevant degree or have equivalent experience in performance, policy, business management, service improvement, transformation or a related discipline. Experience within the public sector or a similarly complex environment would be advantageous.
This post is temporary until August 2027 due to service requirement.
Further details of the key responsibilities and requirements are provided in the job profile.
