As part of the Council’s commitment to becoming a Council of the Future, we are seeking a permanent, full‑time Customer & Business Support Assistant to provide high‑quality administrative and customer support to Education Services. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an environment of continuous change, improvement, and teamwork.
We are looking for an individual educated to SVQ Level 2 or equivalent, who brings a positive “can‑do” attitude and the determination to make things happen in a busy, customer‑focused setting. You will play a key role in delivering a responsive and professional Customer & Business Support service across a diverse range of activities within Education Services.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- An understanding of data protection legislation
- The ability to work accurately to deadlines
- A commitment to delivering excellent support to both internal and external customers
You will be part of a dynamic team where accuracy, flexibility, and high‑quality service are essential.
Hybrid Working
This post includes an element of hybrid working, combining home and office working. Flexibility is required, as service needs will determine when hybrid working is appropriate.

Week One
- Office: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
- Homeworking: Tuesday, Thursday

- Office: Tuesday, Thursday
- Homeworking: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
