We are seeking a highly organised and detail‑focused Minute Taker to provide high‑quality administrative support to multi‑agency meetings across Children’s and Adults Social Work Services.
This is a permanent, full‑time hybrid role, with the majority of work completed remotely. However, flexibility is essential, as attendance at in‑person meetings and office days will be required in line with service needs.
The role is critical in ensuring accurate record‑keeping, clear communication, and effective information sharing between professionals, supporting positive outcomes for children, adults, and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately minute complex multi‑agency meetings, including:
- Child Protection Case Conferences
- Looked After Reviews
- Adult Safeguarding Meetings
- Reviews and other statutory meetings
- Produce clear, concise, and timely minutes and action records
- Distribute meeting records securely and within agreed timescales
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection legislation at all times
- Coordinate meeting logistics, including attendance lists and associated documentation
- Liaise professionally with social workers, managers, health professionals, education staff, and partner agencies
- Manage and prioritise workload to meet strict deadlines
- Maintain accurate electronic records and filing systems
What We’re Looking For
-
- Educated to SVQ Level 3 in Business & Administration or Customer Service (or equivalent)
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to minute complex meetings accurately and timeously
- Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills
- A positive, flexible approach with the drive to “make it happen” in a busy working environment
If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to carry out a Disclosure Scotland check, the cost of which will be met by the preferred candidate.
