Are you highly organised, customer‑focused, and confident making technical decisions in a fast‑paced environment? We are looking for a Divisional Technical Support Officer to join our Building Maintenance Division and play a key role in supporting the effective upkeep of our housing stock. This is a Temporary post for 6 months
About the Role
As a Divisional Technical Support Officer, you will provide essential support to Building Maintenance Coordinators and Officers by inspecting and surveying council properties to identify maintenance and repair needs. You’ll be a central point of contact for technical enquiries, helping us deliver high‑quality and responsive building services to our tenants and service users.
This is a varied and rewarding role involving property inspections, contractor liaison, customer engagement, and ensuring works are completed to specification.
You will hold a full Driving Licence, bring strong communication, organisational, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to prioritise your workload and work both independently and as part of a team. You’ll be comfortable dealing with a variety of people, sometimes in challenging situations, and confident making decisions based on technical observations.
This post is temporary until September 2026 due to service requirement.
If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership, the cost of which will be met by the preferred candidate.
