Burnbrae is a 28 bedded residential care home supporting older adults who have a range of differing needs such as a mental health diagnosis, Dementia and/or frailty. Our service is part of the Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership where we work closely with other professionals within a multidisciplinary team. Burnbrae is a well-established care home with a highly experienced, motivated, and passionate team of staff. We endeavour to work together to ensure we provide a warm and welcoming environment focused on person-centred care for all who live within Burnbrae alongside a supportive place of work for our colleagues.
We are located near the centre of Falkirk within beautiful surroundings and with multiple accessible public transport options nearby.
Within our service, there are multiple learning opportunities for staff. We place importance on training, development, and opportunities to progress within a supportive environment.
Casual Domestic assistants are on an as and when required basis filling vacant shifts. Casual work can be beneficial if you do not wish to commit to a formal working pattern. Although your “host home” would be Burnbrae, you would have the opportunity to undertake shifts within other Falkirk Council Care Homes. As a Domestic you will be motivated and enthusiastic in providing a clean and safe environment to a high standard for all residents, visitors, and staff. We expect our domestic staff to maintain the home in line with National Infection and Protection Manual guidelines. Previous experience in a domestic role is desirable but is not essential. You should have a positive attitude, be passionate, organised, and flexible. A willingness to learn is also critical. You will work alongside an established staff team, including other domestics and will be supported in the role by your colleagues. As you will be working within the care home, you will also be required to always treat others with dignity and respect.
If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership, the cost of which will be met by the preferred candidate.
If you feel you have the relevant skills, knowledge and attributes for this post and would like to work within our service where you could make a difference to someone’s life and lead a fulfilling career then please apply now or contact Resource Centre Manager, Samantha Sheldon-Brown on 01324 501850 for more information.
