Burnbrae is a 28-bedded residential care home supporting older adults with a wide range of needs, including dementia, mental health conditions, and frailty.
As part of the Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership, we work closely with colleagues across a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. Burnbrae is a well-established service with a highly experienced, motivated, and passionate staff team committed to creating a warm, welcoming environment for both residents and colleagues.
Located close to Falkirk town centre, Burnbrae benefits from beautiful surroundings and excellent public transport links, making it easily accessible.
Why Join Burnbrae?
At Burnbrae, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our workforce. We offer a variety of learning opportunities, ongoing training, and career progression within a supportive and encouraging environment.
About the Role
Casual Domestic Assistants work on an as-and-when-required basis, helping to cover vacant shifts within the service. This flexible role is ideal for individuals who do not wish to commit to a fixed working pattern.
While your designated host home will be Burnbrae, there may also be opportunities to undertake shifts across other Falkirk Council Care Homes, allowing you to gain experience in a variety of settings.
As a Casual Domestic Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. You will be expected to carry out domestic duties to a high standard and contribute to ensuring the home remains compliant with National Infection Prevention and Control Manual guidance.
Previous experience in a domestic or cleaning role is desirable but not essential, as training and support will be provided. We are looking for individuals who are positive, enthusiastic, organised, and flexible in their approach to work. A willingness to learn and develop, along with the ability to work effectively as part of an established team, is essential.
Working within a care home environment, you will be expected to uphold the values of dignity, respect, and compassion in all interactions with residents, families, visitors, and colleagues.
Successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain PVG Scheme Membership.
If you have the skills, values, and commitment to make a positive difference to the lives of older people and would like to join our supportive team, we would be delighted to hear from you.
