Falkirk Council is currently seeking an ambitious and self-motivated individual to take on the role of Mechanic at its friendly and modern workshop based in Grangemouth. 

Responsibilities

Are you dynamic and want to make a difference in how we deliver public services?

If so, this is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with excellent mechanical, diagnostic and administrative skills to support the repair and maintenance of a diverse range of Council owned & hired vehicles.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of work is produced inclusive of servicing, repair and fault diagnosis.

Requirements

To succeed in this role you should be a qualified motor mechanic and have excellent diagnostic skills.  You should also have the ability to work independently both safely and competently and have a passion for providing exceptional customer service.

We are looking for integrity, a can-do attitude, and someone with excellent communication skills who can work in partnership with other council staff as required.

Our workshop is modern, well-equipped, and provides the perfect environment for you to thrive and excel in your role.
