Shape your future. Shape ours.

Falkirk Council is transforming, and we’re looking for talented people who want to make a real difference in our communities. With over 7,000 employees delivering services that matter, we’re ambitious about the future – and you can be part of it.

We’re recruiting Graduates for our Asset & Investment Team, supporting the ongoing improvement of our housing stock and helping ensure homes are warm, safe and energy‑efficient.

About the role

As part of the Housing Asset Team, you’ll carry out Stock Condition Surveys and Energy Performance assessments across our domestic housing portfolio. Your work informs future investment decisions, ensuring homes meet the needs of our tenants now and in future.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a hands‑on, real‑world environment while developing an exciting career in housing, asset management and construction.

This post is temporary until May 2028 due to a temporary project.

What you’ll bring

You’ll need:

  • An HNC or above in a construction‑related subject
  • Good understanding of construction technology
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
  • Strong IT skills, ideally with knowledge of construction or surveying software

Our graduate roles also require strong core skills, including:

  • Good written and oral communication
  • Interpersonal
  • Organisation
  • Project management
  • Report writing
  • Team working
  • Computer skills including use of MS Office
  • Ability to use your initiative and organise your own workload

Why Falkirk Council?

You’ll be part of a purpose‑driven organisation where you can make a real difference. We empower our people, support learning and creativity, and give you the chance to contribute to positive change across our communities.

Our values — Responsive, Innovative, Trusted and Ambitious (RITA) — shape how we work and how we’ll support you to grow. You’ll be encouraged to use modern tools, bring fresh ideas, help remove barriers for others, and contribute to lasting, meaningful improvements. We welcome applications from all backgrounds.

If you want your work to matter — and to see the difference you make — we’d love to hear from you.
