Could you be our next Graduate within our Street Lighting team?

In this role you will work alongside experienced engineers to help design, maintain, and improve the street lighting and illuminated infrastructure that keeps communities across the Falkirk Council area safe and accessible. You’ll gain hands-on experience with the full lifecycle of lighting assets—from creating technical designs and producing calculations, drawings, and specifications, to supporting site activities that show how installations are built, tested, and maintained.

You will support the effective management of lighting assets by helping maintain accurate inventory data, investigating faults or damage, and contributing to condition surveys and performance monitoring. You’ll engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including developers, contractors, residents, and internal council teams, helping review external proposals and assisting in the preparation of professional reports and responses. Through this varied experience, you’ll develop strong technical, analytical, and communication skills within a supportive engineering environment.

What we are looking for…

The ideal person for this role will be proactive, adaptable, and committed to making a positive impact in their work.  You will have an HND or above in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
