Could you be our next Joiner (BOS) within our Building Maintenance Division?
You will bring demonstrable experience across a full range of joinery duties, including repairs, maintenance and installation works within Council residential and commercial properties. The role requires delivering high standards of workmanship while accurately recording materials used and time spent.
You will utilise handheld devices (PDAs) for job allocation and reporting, support the development of apprentices and trainees through best practice guidance, undertake agreed bolt-on skills training and ensure full compliance with health and safety standards, including the use of PPE at all times.
Participation in a rotational out-of-hours emergency call-out service is also required.
What we are looking for…
The ideal person for this role will be a reliable and motivated individual with a recognised Time Served Apprenticeship in Carpentry and Joinery. This role offers the opportunity to work both independently and collaboratively, supporting the delivery of high-quality joinery repairs, maintenance and installation works while maintaining compliance with Health & Safety requirements. You will have the ability to work safely at height, undertake agreed bolt-on skills to support service delivery, and hold a full driving licence.
If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership, the cost of which will be met by the preferred candidate.
