An opportunity has arisen for a part-time Mobile Warden working within the Mobile Emergency Care Service.
You will be involved in responding to emergency requests for assistance from service users within their own homes. You must be an experienced social service worker with commitment, patience and an understanding of ageing and disability and their effect on people’s lives. You must be able to work under pressure and deal confidently, calmly and sensitively with difficult situations. You must have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both internal and external, and in addition, have excellent team working and written skills.
The post will involve responding to emergency situations and will include falls, personal care etc. as well as routine installation and de-installation of equipment to service users throughout the Falkirk Council area. Training will be provided, both formal and informal, to facilitate the delivery of the MECS service
You are required to commit to a rostered shift working pattern including early and back shifts on a rolling rota.
The contracted hours of the post are 19.5 hours per week.
All MECS Mobile Wardens are paid for every minute of their shift including any meal breaks; this is necessary to allow all emergency situations to be handled at any time.
You will require to be registered with SSSC within 6 months of your employment. You must have, or be willing to work towards, an appropriate qualification to facilitate full registration with SSSC
