Job Description

Newly Qualified Social Worker (NQSW) Practice Learning Co-ordinator

We are looking for a qualified registered Social Worker who can lead on preparation for the mandatory NQSW Supported Year commencing in Autumn 2024.  You need to bring skills and knowledge to build the foundations for successful implementation. This includes the development of quality assurance measures to ensure there is a shared understanding and consistency of approach in relation to induction and first year pathway for Newly Qualified Social Workers working across services.

You will collaborate with our Assistant Team Managers and Advanced Practitioners and will work alongside our Practice Learning Assessor-Coordinators who lead on student Practice Education.

You will have a leadership role in coordinating and supporting the facilitation of the Newly Qualified Social Workers support group and work in partnership with services to meet the standards of the NQSW Supported first year.

You must hold a degree/diploma or equivalent qualification in Social Work, and you must also be registered or in the process of registering with the Scottish Social Services Council. These posts are exempt under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).

You will work 22.2 hours per week.
