Falkirk Council is a council of the future. A community of over 7,000 employees striving to create better lives for all of our residents.

Come join us.

Could you be our next Payroll Officer within our Human Resources and Payroll team?

In this role you will supervise the day-to-day operation of the Payroll Section, this includes a payroll team leader (1.0 FTE) and payroll administrators (5.0 FTE).  The successful applicant will ensure that Falkirk Council’s payrolls are completed accurately and on time, every time.  This will include monitoring the workload/work quality of the payroll team, interpreting and applying conditions of service and statutory provisions and overseeing the reconciliation of payroll control accounts in relation to both statutory and non

What we are looking for…

You will be educated to HND level in an appropriate subject area (relevant experience will be considered as an alternative to this).

You will have the ability to organise competing demands, work to tight timescales and be able to demonstrate excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Substantial knowledge of payroll administration including the rules applying to Income Tax, NI, Pensions, Parental leave/pay and sick pay administration is essential.  You should also have experience working in a payroll office and this should include experience at a supervisory level.

Sounds like you? Great.
