This role provides an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to work within a small and dynamic corporate team. The team leads the development of Falkirk Council’s performance management approach.

You will play a key role in developing and maintaining the Council’s performance management system, including Pentana. This will support delivery of the Council Plan, Service Plans and other strategic delivery plans. You will help ensure performance information is accurate, consistent and meaningful.

Working across all Council services, you will support colleagues to plan, monitor and report on performance. You will help services understand how their work contributes to corporate priorities, improvement activity and statutory requirements.

You will report to the Corporate Performance and Planning Manager. You will work closely with colleagues across services, senior managers and partners. This role suits someone who enjoys working with lots of people and building effective relationships.

You will have responsibility for developing performance reports, dashboards and updates. This will include public performance reporting and committee reporting. You will use data analysis skills to identify trends, risks and areas for improvement. Experience of using Power BI or similar tools is essential.

A strong attention to detail is required. You will be confident working with complex data and explaining performance information clearly to different audiences.

You will have a relevant degree or equivalent experience. You will have experience of performance management systems, data analysis and reporting. The ability to write clear, structured and concise reports is essential.
