Falkirk Council is seeking two skilled Plumbers with bolt on skills (BOS) to join our Building Operations team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on repairs, installations, and maintenance across residential and commercial properties, while developing additional bolt-on skills to enhance service delivery.

What You’ll Do

• Carry out all aspects of plumbing work, including domestic hot and cold-water services, drainage systems, and refurbishment projects.
• Deliver high-quality workmanship and maintain accurate records of materials and time.
• Use electronic devices (PDAs) for work allocation and reporting.
• Mentor apprentices and trainees by demonstrating best practices.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and wear PPE at all times.
• Participate in out-of-hours emergency service on a rotational basis.

What We’re Looking For

• Essential:
• Recognised time-served apprenticeship in Plumbing and Heating.
• Excellent numeracy, literacy, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety, Building Regulations, and COSHH.
• Full Driving licence required.
• Desirable:
• Mentoring and organisational skills.
• Customer care experience.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Gaelic language skills (preferred).
