The Falkirk area is experiencing significant economic investment through the Falkirk Growth Deal, Forth Green Freeport, Tax Incremental Finance initiative and other major investment programmes.  With significant funding secured and a number of major projects already in development, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of a broad range of roads, flooding, active travel and development-related infrastructure projects.  These projects will deliver innovative, greener, more inclusive and sustainable infrastructure, contributing to and supporting economic growth across the Falkirk region. 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who has experience of managing and leading professional project teams, both in-house and external, for successful delivery of a variety of transport infrastructure projects.

You will have demonstrable experience of working in a project management environment with experience in managing multiple projects to programme and budget.  You should have detailed knowledge of project procurement processes, and experience of managing programmes/projects with conflicting priorities.

You will be responsible for managing the delivery of engineering projects within cost, time, and quality parameters, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.   You will have the ability to work under pressure to meet agreed project deliverables whilst maintaining a customer-focused, innovative and flexible approach.  You should demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence others and take initiative in resolving problems.

You are required to be flexible, innovative and reactive to public demands and pressures including communicating directly with elected representatives and public enquiries. You will deputise for the Infrastructure Projects Manager as required.
