We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Building Maintenance Division. This is a pivotal role focused on delivering cost-effective, compliant, and high-quality surveying services across a diverse portfolio of maintenance and Capital projects.

You will work within a multi-disciplinary environment and provide professional quantity surveying service to ensure best value and full compliance with contractual and statutory obligations. This will include undertaking onsite measures for various types of work.

You will support cost control, procurement, and contract administration throughout project lifecycles. Prepare initial cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents along with feasibility assessments, and budget forecasts. Manage tendering procedures via Public Contracts Scotland and ESPD, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.

With experience of computerised billing systems, and preferably a knowledge of public sector procurement, you will draft and review contract documentation including Bills of Quantities, Descriptions of Works, and Conditions of Contract.

You will be involved in all aspects of the traditional quantity surveying role, including procurement and contract management. You will monitor project expenditures and ensure financial control. You will analyse tenders and conduct re-measurements to validate instructed variations and ensure financial compliance.

With proven experience in public sector or building maintenance projects you will have a degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying and be RICS accredited.
