An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Librarian to lead the Learning Resource Service (LRS).
You will be responsible for leading and developing the LRS, a dynamic, highly valued service which provides quality resources, information and advice to support all educational establishments in Falkirk Council. LRS is part of the Central Education Team and is committed to support and enhance the curriculum, enriching the learning experiences of all children and young people.
You will hold a degree in Librarianship/Information Science or a degree and post-graduate qualification in Librarianship/Information Science, and be a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP)
You will be highly motivated to help shape innovative learning to deliver the ambition of excellence and equity in our settings and schools.
You will have the ability to clearly articulate your views and to lead, inspire and motivate colleagues.
You will be highly organised to work both individually and collaboratively and possess excellent communication skills.
You will be confident in developing and maintaining positive relationships with a range of stakeholders.
You will be highly committed to own and others continuing professional learning and adopt a coaching role in relation to building the capacity of others.
