A new team responsible for supporting people who are not currently open to social work and social care has begun recruiting, with internal applications now open for Social Care Officers.
The Access Team will be the first point of entry into Adult Social Work and Social Care for most adults aged 16+ in Falkirk. With a focus on prevention, the team will improve signposting to suitable services or support options and will ensure people access care as soon as possible.
About the Social Care Officer opportunity:
You will contribute to our vision of enabling adults to live full and positive lives within supportive and inclusive communities working with Occupational Therapist and Social Work colleagues. You will undertake outcomes focussed assessments and reviews in collaboration with service users and carers including risk assessment. You will participate in duty systems and rotas relevant to your team and the service. Along with colleagues, you will be expected to contribute to the development of innovative ways of working which will enable Falkirk citizens to have access to information, support and services within their communities.
You must have the ability to be mobile across the Falkirk Council area.
HNC /SVQ3 in social care or equivalent would be preferred.
A number of permanent, full time posts are available
