An exciting opportunity has arisen for temporary full-time Social Care Officers within the Care and Support at Home Service in Central, East and West Locality Teams. 

As a Social Care Officer, you will be responsible for the reviewing and maintaining of outcome-based assessments and reviews of service user needs which are effective in promoting independence, and meeting individuals desired outcomes and aspirations.  

You must have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels taking into account the variety of complex, contentious and sensitive situations that occur both internal and external to the organisation.   You must have the ability to prioritise your workload and work without constant supervision, and in addition, work under pressure and to strict deadlines.

You will require to commit to a rostered working pattern including weekends and public holidays which consists of 10 days worked over a 14-day period. 

The contracted hours of the post are 37 hours per week; but these will be averaged over a 2-week roster period with the current shift times being 9am until 4.54pm (includes 30-minute unpaid break).

You must have the ability to be mobile across the Council area.

The post will require periods of lone working.

This post is temporary until December 2026 to cover a temporary project.

If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership, the cost of which will be met by the preferred candidate.
