Falkirk is the home of the Kelpies and the world-famous Falkirk Wheel.
Serving over 158,000 citizens in the heart of Scotland – Falkirk Council has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and energetic IT professional to join the ICT Technology Team.
You will provide IT support to staff across the Council, covering a range of areas including device management and provision, software installation and support and diagnosis of PC and laptop hardware issues. We are also looking for a high level of expertise in supporting the range of products that comprise the Microsoft 365 suite, which is now a key suite of tools used by staff across the Council to support service delivery.
You will have a proven track record of mentoring more junior staff and demonstrate an ability to problem solve and work effectively under pressure. You will be expected to be an effective team player, contributing to IT projects linked to the implementation of technology improvements. There will be no shortage of opportunities to show leadership skills, when working on general customer support and being part of project teams implementing positive change for our staff.
The role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels of the organisation. Experience of working with suppliers is required, together with a commitment to driving positive change and delivering customer-focused IT support. Candidates should be able to work effectively with others and demonstrate a proactive approach to service improvement. A degree-level qualification is desirable with at least four experience working within an IT support role.
Choose a career with us that will offer you a true sense of achievement, fill you with pride and will challenge you in a positive way every day.
Go on – what are you waiting for?
