Are you passionate about developing people, strengthening professional practice and shaping the future of Social Work and Social Care?

This is an opportunity to make a lasting difference, not only to the workforce but to the children, adults and communities who rely on our services. You will play an important role in how we develop the people who deliver social work and social care across Falkirk.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated manager to join us as Workforce Development Service Manager. Reporting to the Chief Social Work Officer, you will have responsibility for workforce development, recruitment and retention, practice learning, professional development, workforce compliance and public protection learning across Children's, Justice and Adult Services.

You will be a qualified and registered Social Worker with significant management experience and a strong track record in workforce development, learning and partnership working. You will be passionate about professional learning, experienced in leading change and improvement, and committed to developing a positive learning culture where staff can thrive.

Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership is ambitious and has a strong commitment to professional learning, innovation and workforce development. We are proud of our supportive culture, our investment in people and our focus on improving outcomes for children, adults and communities. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation that values social work, supports professional growth and encourages new ideas.

Working with managers, partners and professional organisations, you will help ensure our workforce has the skills, confidence and opportunities needed to deliver high-quality services and improve outcomes for the people of Falkirk.

If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.

Interviews will be held on 11 September 2026.
