Job Details
HR has corporate responsibility for 'Workforce Youth Investment,' which focuses on providing work and training opportunities to young people within Fife. You can get involved in work which can really make a difference to the lives of young people.
This role is specifically related to Workforce Youth Investment. You will also gain experience in the fields of resourcing and workforce planning.
If appointed, you will join a busy team and operate a blended model workstyle. You will have a range of responsibilities, which will include:
- Collaborating with managers across various services and partnering with teams in schools, employability, communications, recruitment, and finance services
- Monitoring budgets by ensuring activities align with available funding and monitoring the spend
- Regular reporting and data analysis as part of ongoing review and improvement work
- Attending recruitment and youth employment events on behalf of Fife Council. When required, you will be involved in planning and organising events
- Providing updates to senior management, posting on social media, preparing news items and other communication work.
- Engaging in improvement and compliance work, including making changes in response to survey feedback and ensuring adherence to legislative change. This will include staying up to date with and responding to Disclosure Scotland and Home Office changes.
- You will also join our HR Duty team where you will offer managers general HR advice on various topics.
The Person
If you are interested in joining our team, use your application form and supporting statement to demonstrate that you meet the essential criteria for the role. This includes, but is not limited to:
- A degree, or equivalent qualification, in a related field
- Experience of confidently dealing with a range of audiences, including senior managers
- Project management experience - leading or assisting with project work. We are particularly interested in project work linked to a new way of working or a system change
- Ability to use analytical skills to help inform decision making and having a systematic and responsive approach to work
It is desirable that the successful candidate has Graduate membership of CIPD or is working towards it.
We are currently shaping our future workstyles however, in light of current advice, we are introducing blended home/office working that will include office access days each week with homeworking for the remainder of your working time.
