An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our care home team in Fife Council’s Residential and Day Services (East).

We are looking for a motivated and driven individual with good values and a genuine interest in the care and support of Older People; with experience of care within a highly complex yet rewarding environment.

Ladywalk House is a 39 bed Care Home in East Fife providing ongoing care and support to vulnerable older people: the care home also supports a respite and day service.

During Covid-19, we are taking the opportunity to work in different ways, and this includes how we continue to undertake our interviews. We are using Microsoft Teams to progress with interviews virtually and all you need is a device with a camera and access to the internet. We will provide guidance and instructions on how to use this method if your interview is being held virtually.

The Person

Must have or be able to work towards: SVQ 3 as required by the Scottish Social Services Council. Within the timeframes set at point of registration, once qualification achieved it is the persons responsibility to inform Scottish Social Services Council timeously.

Provide Care and support which meets the Health and Social care standards.

Must be able to work with other Council services and partner agencies to support the effective planning and delivery of care and support within our service.

You should be able to work flexibly and creatively within a dynamic and ambitious team.

Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland.

You are required to register with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up employment in this role and to complete the required Post Registration Training and Learning (PRTL) over the first registration period. It is the persons responsibility to notify the SSSC of any changes to personal or work details timeously.
