We offer a high level of support and supervision to NQSWs as well as opportunities for experienced staff to develop and progress their careers. We offer post qualifying support, mentoring and supervision enhanced by a creative training programme (in house and external) to enable practitioners to confidently undertake a range of tasks including complex assessments of need and risk, understanding trauma, adult attachment etc.

The team is part of a wider strategy to ensure that families in Fife get the right support at a time when it is needed most. The role of the team is to work to stabilise a situation with a view to support future planning and any transitions to longer term supports if required.

Enhancements are payable for unsocial hours at the weekends and public holidays. The Emergency Support Team operates from 9am until 8pm weekdays and 9am until 10pm at weekends. Staff work various shifts within these hours (9am-5pm, 12-8pm &2pm-10pm). These shifts can be reviewed dependent on the needs of the service.
The ability to travel throughout Fife is essential.
