The Customer Service Co-Ordinator (4 on 4 off) is a key member of the Contact Centre team and plays an important role in delivering a high-quality, customer-focused service. You will develop a broad understanding of City Building's services and will be committed to providing excellent customer care and support to customers, clients and stakeholders.
You will be responsible for handling a high volume of customer enquiries, accurately logging repair and maintenance requests, and ensuring that all information is recorded and processed efficiently through the appropriate systems. The role involves coordinating service requests, monitoring progress and maintaining accurate records to support effective service delivery.
As a first point of contact for customers, you will provide professional and courteous assistance by telephone and electronic communication channels, ensuring enquiries are handled effectively and directed appropriately. You will liaise with customers, operational teams, housing associations, Glasgow City Council departments and other stakeholders to support the delivery of repairs and maintenance services.
This role also involves responding to customer enquiries, resolving service issues where possible, escalating matters when required, managing shared inboxes, and ensuring clear communication across teams and departments. Strong customer service, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills are essential to maintaining service standards and delivering a positive customer experience.What You Will Bring
The Customer Service Co-Ordinator (4 on 4 off) will be a customer-focused individual with a passion for delivering a high standard of service. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle enquiries professionally, accurately and efficiently while ensuring a positive experience for customers and stakeholders at all times.
The successful candidate will have experience working within a fast-paced customer service or contact centre environment and will be comfortable managing competing priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism. You will be capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a team to achieve service objectives and meet performance targets.
You will have strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess customer enquiries, identify appropriate solutions and ensure requests are processed effectively through the relevant systems. Experience of handling repair requests, service enquiries or similar customer-focused administration activities would be advantageous.
You will be proficient in the use of IT systems and Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with customers, operational teams and other stakeholders.
