About the Role
As an IT Infrastructure Database Administrator, you will be responsible for delivering and maintaining secure, resilient, and scalable database platforms and infrastructure services that support critical business operations.
You will act as a technical specialist, ensuring Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server environments are reliable, secure, and aligned with organisational needs. You will design, administer, and optimise database solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments, managing performance, security, availability, recovery, upgrades, and migrations.
Working closely with internal teams and partners, you will support business-critical services, drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance with governance standards, and help safeguard organisational data while enabling reliable and high-performing database services.
What You Will Bring
You will have proven experience supporting Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server environments within complex enterprise infrastructures, with strong knowledge of database security, performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery, backup and recovery, and business continuity.
You will be experienced in database administration across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments, including Microsoft Azure. You will possess strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Proactive and solution-focused, you will be capable of leading technical initiatives independently while working collaboratively to deliver secure, resilient, and high-performing database services. Relevant Oracle, Microsoft, Azure, or related certifications would be advantageous.
