Role – Allocation Officer (Homelessness Services)
Location - GCHSCP Homeless Services, 2 Green Wynd, Glasgow, G40 2TD
Contract Status - Temporary, up to 8th February 2027

At Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP), we aim to prevent homelessness, provide emergency support and help individuals secure long term accommodation. An opportunity has arisen for an Allocation Officer to support the Temporary Accommodation Allocation Team within Homelessness Services.
Allocation Officers work in a small team co-ordinating and prioritising referrals for homeless accommodation. You will work with a variety of agencies and make decisions on all aspects of allocations using sound judgement.
Duties will include:
• Monitoring all referrals and risk assessments
• Preparation of management information on the supply and demand of temporary accommodation
• Ensuring that allocations are made in fair and consistent manner
Working knowledge of the legislation and guidance of homelessness is desirable as is awareness of the complex needs of service users and an appreciation of relevant legislation and Code of Guidance.
These roles are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
Interviews are expected to take place week commencing 22nd June 2026.
