Job Description

Role – Business Advisor (Business Admin Services)
Location – GCHSCP, North West Locality, 30 Mansion Street, Glasgow, G22 5SZ
Contract Status – Permanent

Business Admin is a wide and varied team providing administrative support across Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP). The Business Advisor role supports the delivery of administration support to Children’s, Homelessness and Justice Services within the North West Locality. This includes offices in Partrick, Possilpark and Drumchapel areas. Administration support provides front facing support to public facing receptions and to back office functions supporting Glasgow City Council and NHS HSCP Services. This includes support to social care staff and health staff including senior managers to deliver priority and statutory services and to achieve key performance management targets.

The Business Advisor role supports the Resource Manager in managing approximately 40 clerical and admin staff including first line admin managers. They will be required to assist the Resource Manager in establishing and implementing business processes, systems and structures to support the key functions within the team. The post also supports day to day service delivery and the review of revised operational arrangements and allocation/re-allocation of resources if required while also monitoring staff performance and providing HR support and guidance. This role is essential for delivery of existing business processes and the creation of new processes. They will also be required to support data quality across Children’s and Homelessness Services and to contribute to savings targets through agreed projects.

This role also supports building management and business continuity arrangements within their area and they will be required to attend and contribute to citywide meetings and forums in relation to business continuity plans.

The successful applicant will be required to work across multiple locations and to supervise staff across multiple bases.

Applicants should have previous supervisory experience; the relevant knowledge and administrative experience to fulfil this role, possess good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.

These roles are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
