Are you interested in working for the largest local authority in Scotland, in partnership with the NHS, to help improve the health and wellbeing of our community? Then, you are in the right place!
As part of a UK Government funded innovation program, we are seeking an experienced Change Manager to lead the successful adoption of new digital technologies across our network of care homes and operational care services. This is an exciting opportunity to help transform the way care is delivered by embedding innovative, person-centred technology that improves the lives of residents and supports care teams.
As Change Manager, you’ll play a critical role in preparing, supporting, and equipping care home teams to embrace change and use digital tools with confidence. Your work will directly contribute to better care outcomes, improved efficiency, and an enhanced working environment for staff.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading the design and delivery of change management strategies and plans to support the rollout of digital technology in our operational care services.
• Engaging with stakeholders at all levels – from frontline care workers to executive leaders – to build understanding, commitment, and capability.
• Identifying and managing risks and resistance to change, working closely with operational teams to deliver sustainable adoption.
• Developing and implementing communication, training, and supporting plans tailored to different audiences within the care sector.
• Measuring and monitoring progress, providing feedback and insights to continually improve change delivery.
• Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and digital confidence across the organisation.
To apply you should have:
• A degree level qualification or evidence of higher level study or relevant experience, particularly within project/program management or organisational change and development.
• Substantial experience working within direct care services including considerable experience in care home operational management with an extensive knowledge of policy and strategy.
• Evidence of study of Agile methodologies including the SCRUM framework.
These roles are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
Only existing employees of Glasgow City Council or one of its Arms Length External Organisations can apply for this vacancy.
Interviews are likely to take place Friday 4 July. Alternatives may be available.
If you would like to find out more about the role before applying, you can contact: Liam Herbert, Head of Planning & Strategy, on Liam.herbert@nhs.scot
