Job Description

Role – Clerical Officer (Justice Admin Services)
Location – GCHSCP, Justice Admin Services, 80 Norfolk Street, Glasgow, G5 9EJ
Contract Status – Permanent

Are you interested in working for the largest local authority in Scotland, in partnership with the NHS, to help improve the health and wellbeing of our community? Then, you are in the right place!

Business Administration is a wide and varied service that provides essential administrative support across Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP). This role offers comprehensive clerical and administrative assistance within Justice Social Work Services across the city.

As a Clerical Officer, your role will be to support a team within a busy office environment, carrying out a range of administration tasks including data management, reception duties and financial processes. The role also involves minute-taking of complex and sensitive meetings. While full training will be provided, applicants should be aware of this requirement.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate relevant skills such as good communication, organisational skills and a basic knowledge of IT systems such as Microsoft Office packages, however full training and support will be provided as part of the role. Successful applicants will require to attend and participate in training, including completion of mandatory online training courses/briefings.

Please note that all applicants should demonstrate a flexible approach to the needs of the role and may be at times required to work from multiple locations across Justice Admin.

These roles are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).

Interviews will likely take place week commencing 23rd February 2026.

If you would like to find out more about the role before applying, you can contact: Laura Tangny, Resource Manager by email: laura.tangny@glasgow.gov.uk
