Role – Day Care Worker (Day Care Services)
Location – GCHSCP, Older People Day Care Centres within the city
Hours and Shift Pattern – Monday – Friday, 9am – 4.30pm with a 30 minutes paid break
Contract Status – Permanent and Temporary (up to 3 months)

In Glasgow, we operate 10 day care centres for older people that are accessible to those aged 65 years and over who would benefit from care and support during the day.
Our state of the art facilities help relieve loveliness and isolation while assisting with your independence. Spend the day making crafts, getting involved in activities, socialising with other people from your community and receiving care in a safe environment.
You will work as part of a team to provide assistance which promotes the physical, social and emotional needs of older people.
You will support older people to live independently and maximise their potential whilst recognising their right to dignity, privacy and choice.
Competency in English language, written and spoken is a requirement.
Applications are welcome from ethnic minorities and fluent speakers of other languages – Chinese, Cantonese, Hakka, Punjabi, Urdu.
You will be required to cover the full roster requirements within the Centre. You will be expected to cover citywide to support demands of service.
Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above role will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.
Rehab of Offenders Act 1974 (insert for all posts) – These roles are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
