Role – Facilities Management Co-ordinator (Property and Development Services)
Location – GCHSCP Property and Development Services, Commonwealth House, 48 Albion Street, G1 1LH - Citywide remit.
Hours of work - 35 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 16:00pm

At Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP) the Property and Development Team support site-based citywide Social Work Service Managers and associated teams in the management, development and maintenance of all social work premises, associated systems and services. The Team are responsible for the management of these sites in all aspects of property and facilities maintenance and development.
The GCHSCP Property and Development Team is an extremely busy and crucial resource for Service teams across the partnership and is required to be responsive to requests, and flexible to facilitate in reactive situations. The Team supports Service Managers in establishing and maintaining all building-related statutory, mandatory and agreed operational maintenance activities to ensure business continuity and statutory compliance with Glasgow City Council Social Work Services' mandatory Health and Safety Requirements.
The Facilities Management Co-ordinator is responsible for managing all relevant building services and facilities management related maintenance activities to minimise disruption to Service Users.
The postholder will support Service Managers with the day-to-day provision of all defined hard and soft maintenance services, such as mechanical and electrical building services, building fabric, and grounds maintenance. The postholder, reporting to the Senior Officer, will lead on all property maintenance related H&S issues and activities, lead and direct a small caretaking team that deliver elements of daily maintenance including building fire-safety and security checks, and will manage and co-ordinate a small team of mobile staff providing caretaking / handyman services covering all citywide sites within a geographical hub.
Applicants must possess a recognised qualification, in a building or building-services related discipline or have significant verifiable experience of same. Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above role will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.
These roles are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
