Job Description
Role – Home Care Co-ordinator (South) – Care Services
Location – GCHSCP Care Services, South Sector, 100 Borron Street, Glasgow, G4 9XE
Hours and Shift Pattern – 30 hours per week
Contract Status – 2 x Days (temp up to 3 months), 1 x OOH (temp up to 6 months), 1 x OOH (temp up to 3 months)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Home Care Service as a Home Care Co-ordinator within the South Sector. Reporting to the Area Operations Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to vulnerable people across Glasgow.
About the Role
You’ll be at the heart of service delivery—co-ordinating care, supporting teams, and ensuring service users get the right support at the right time.
Your role will include:
• Leading the day-to-day coordination and deployment of Home Care staff
• Acting as the first point of contact for staff, service users and families
• Developing and maintaining Personal Support Plans (PSPs)
• Carrying out Workplace Observations (WPOs) to ensure quality and standards
• Managing changing priorities, including hospital discharges and urgent care needs
• Supporting your team with guidance, supervision and problem-solving
• Stepping in to deliver care when required
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is organised, responsive and committed to delivering excellent care:
• Experience supporting vulnerable individuals in a care setting
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to coordinate staff and respond to fast-paced situations
• Confidence to lead, support and make decisions on the ground
• IT skills including Word and Excel
Qualifications & Requirements
• SVQ Level 3 (or working towards) in Health & Social Care
• Commitment to achieving a relevant management qualification (SCQF Level 7)
• SSSC registration (or willingness to register within required timescales)
• PVG Scheme membership required
