Role – Primary Care Recovery Worker (Alcohol and Drug Recovery Services)
Location – GCHSCP, Festival Business Centre, 150 Brand Street, Glasgow, G51 1DH and Rowan Park Business Centre

Glasgow Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service (ADRS) work in partnership with GP enhanced services who offer Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT standard 7) to their patients in the community.
A new model of support has been developed to support both GPs and individuals on MAT which has led to the creation of the Primary Care Recovery worker role. As a Primary Care Recovery Worker, you will support people who typically have low to medium support needs and are receiving MAT in the community with their GP.
The team will be based centrally within Glasgow City, supporting shared care GPs and their patients across North East, North West and South of Glasgow.
Candidates will have a commitment to supporting people who use drugs and/or alcohol and therefore must possess a SVQ Level 3 in Health/Social Care or equivalent. Although not essential people with lived or living experience of recovery from drug and/or alcohol problems will be considered for this post. Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above role will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.
These roles are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
