Job Description

Role – Principal Officer (Finance Services)
Location – GCHSCP, Financial Services, Commonwealth House, 32 Albion Street, Glasgow, G1 1LH
Hours and Shift Pattern – 63 hours per fortnight to be worked flexibly
Contract Status – Permanent

At Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP) our team provides a support service to the Operational teams who deal with Social Care for Children and Families and Justice Services.

As the Principal Officer for the Social Work finance team, you will have responsibility for managing a small staff group. A key requirement of the post is an ability to support / manage / develop staff and communicate effectively.

You will prepare all aspects of financial reporting including revenue estimates, budget monitoring, probable outturn and final accounts. You will be responsible for returns to the Scottish Government as well as FOI requests. You should be able to demonstrate good communication and analytical skills and be flexible in your approach to work.

Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills are essential, as well as demonstrating the ability to engage with internal and external agencies at all levels. You must be self-motivated with the ability to work well under pressure and within strict time constraints.

Applicants must possess a professional accountancy qualification.
