Job Description
Role – Principal Officer (Human Resources)
Location – GCHSCP, Commonwealth House, 32 Albion Street, Glasgow, G1 1LH
Contract Status – 1 x Permanent & 1 x Temporary (up to 2 years)
Glasgow City Health & Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP) is seeking two experienced HR professionals to join our Social Work HR team as Principal Officers. These roles will lead our HR Operations teams, playing a pivotal part in shaping workforce strategies, supporting service delivery, and supporting key organisational programmes.
The Principal HR Officer posts will support critical council and GCHSCP workforce programmes including equal pay, service transformational change, workforce planning and business as usual activity such as recruitment, governance and compliance in the consistent application of council policies, procedures and practices.
Successful applicants will be expected to maintain effective relationships with senior management and Trade Unions and provide line management and professional development for a designated HR team.
These posts are excepted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
Interviews are expected to take place 14th & 15th January 2026.
