Homeless Residential Services provide temporary accommodation and intensive support to individuals experiencing homelessness. The service focuses on assessing needs, developing resettlement plans and helping people build the skills and confidence needed for independent living. It plays a key role in reducing repeat homelessness and promoting recovery, inclusion, and wellbeing.
Project Workers provide a front-line service working 1 to 1 with individuals and assisting with support planning. Elder Street services specifically supports vulnerable homeless women and Rodney Street services specifically supports vulnerable homeless men. Both services provide care and support for vulnerable service users through individual key working meetings in order to provide a comprehensive assessment of need and formulate a robust resettlement plan.

• Provide front-line support through 1 to 1 key working and support planning.
• Motivate and assist service users to reduce isolation, build confidence, and learn new skills.
• Promote service user involvement and empowerment.
• Provide practical assistance (e.g. cooking, money management, arranging and accompanying service users to appointments).
What We’re Looking For
• Ability to build positive relationships with individuals experiencing homelessness.
• Resilience and compassion when responding to sensitive disclosures and challenging behaviours.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
If you’re a compassionate and resilient individual who thrives in a team environment and is dedicated to supporting vulnerable individuals, we’d love to hear from you.
Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above role will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.
Registration to the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) is an essential requirement for this role. You must either be already registered or have applied within 3 months and be registered within 6 months from your start date.
